The Smiling Goat
The Smiling Goat is not just my favourite coffee in Halifax, but my new nick name for Little Bean! Just this week, he's begun to smile, showing a big grin and some seriously cute dimples!! It melts my heart every time...

Sleep, or Lack Thereof
It's very strange how I can survive on such broken sleep. I'm surprised I don't chew the head off anyone who steps in my way right now, or how I don't start a waterworks of tears if my tea is cold, or how I don't pass out in a sleep-deprived comatose mid-isle in the grocery store.
During Little Bean's pregnancy, I was getting ten or more hours of consistent sleep a night, plus naps during the day! Maybe I was storing up for these times, when I'm awake every two or three hours, helping Little Bean grow.

Rain
The rain falling steadily reminds me of all the tears I'd like to shed. Some come out, some stay in. It's a beautiful reminder of release.

As you may have guessed...
... with a lack of blog updates, you may have guessed that the Little Bean arrived!! Indeed.
He was born on Feb 17th, with a week of labour-ish times prior to, and two and a half weeks to adjust after the fact. We haven't fully adjusted yet, but recovery is well under way and the Little Bean and I are finding our groove. It is amazing how this little munchkin keeps reminding me to live in the present moment. And a lot of the time, being in the present means not blogging/checking email/messin' about on Facebook. Thanks, little man.
This cute, tiny little being is such a wonder... He is fascinating to be with in so many ways. I look forward to writing all about it. But for now, I'm heading back to being present to the Little Bean.
